MDH has five major divisions - Public Health Services, Behavioral Health, Developmental Disabilities, Health Care Financing, and Opertions. In addition, the department has 20 boards that license and regulate health care professionals; and various commissions that issue grants, and research and make recommendations on issues that affect Maryland’s health care delivery system. We depend on a staff of more than 9,000 and a budget of more than $12 billion to provide needed services to Maryland communities.

Reviews

Governor's Summer Intern

June 2019 - August 2019 Baltimore, MD
“Enjoyed the tasks I was assigned, and the diversity in the office.”

Biology Laboratory Assistant

June 2018 - August 2018 Baltimore, MD
“The atmosphere was extremely friendly and the lab environment was top of the line and updated! Everyone was very friendly and supportive. This job required a lot of repetition and unsupervised, independent work. I worked with 1 other intern. The hours were the night shift, so 3pm-9pm (so you can still enjoy the summertime and go to the pool!). The facilities have 24/7 guards that even walk you to your car at night to assure your safety.”
