Apply today and join our team. The State Water Resources Control Board’s Division of Financial Assistance has an opening for a Senior Environmental Planner in the Loans and Grants Branch. The position is located at 1001 I Street, 16th Floor, Sacramento, CA 95814 right in the heart of downtown next to light rail stations and other public transportation.

 

Duties:

Under the general direction of an Environmental Program Manager I and consistent with good customer service practices and the goals of the State and Regional Board’s Strategic Plan, the incumbent is expected to be courteous and provide timely responses to internal/external customers, follow through on commitments, and to solicit and consider internal/external customer input when completing work assignments.

Serves as the Division of Financial Assistance’s (DFA) Senior Cultural Resources Officer (SCRO) and the lead liaison with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO), the Native American (NA) tribes/Tribal Historic Preservation Officers (THPO) and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP) for compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (Section 106) and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).

Candidates must possess essential personal qualifications including integrity, initiative, dependability, good judgment, the ability to work cooperatively with others, and the ability to perform the assigned duties of the class.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.

Salary: $8,678.00 - $10,783.00 per Month
