POSITION:                 Teaching Assistant – Bilingual Spanish (FT-10 month)

PROGRAM:               Family Education Outreach Programs

SITE/BUILDING:       Roanoke House, Riverhead, NY

QUALIFICATIONS:               

• NYS Level I Teaching Assistant Certification
• Bilingual in Spanish
• Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Provide instructional support and advocacy for Spanish-speaking children of migrant agricultural workers in school setting as well as supplemental support programs at Roanoke House
• Provide parents with access to information on community-based resources and assist with school registration and other school-related needs
• Facilitate and encourage attendance of educational field trips, programs, and events
• Participate in regular staff meetings

START DATE:                                   September 18, 2025

MINIMUM STARTING SALARY:      $29,489.00 (plus $1,000.00 stipend)
