Akron Community Internship: Research and Program Development Intern at Trust Drum Circles

Trust Drum Circles was born from a deep love of rhythm and a belief in music’s power to unite and heal. Since 2022, we have empowered communities by using rhythm to support health, build connection, and celebrate cultural traditions.

Hours: 100 hours during the internship.
Date: Fall 2025 (exact dates TBD to accommodate student schedules) 
Location: Hybrid/Remote


Position Overview

Trust Drum Circles is seeking a Research & Program Development Intern to play a key role in expanding our program network throughout Northeast Ohio and across the state, county by county. This position is critical to identifying new partnership opportunities and strengthening community connections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to identify potential partners, including: schools, community centers, festivals, nonprofits, businesses and corporate event planners.
  • Organize detailed spreadsheets of outreach contracts, locations and partnership opportunities.
  • Assist in developing outreach strategies to build relationships with partners.
  • Support event planning logistics and documentation.
  • Participate in occasional drumming programs or events, as interest and availability allow.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in research, data collection, and organizing information into spreadsheets or databases.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and planning skills.
  • Comfortable with tools such as Google Workspace (docs/sheets), Microsoft Excel, or CRM software.
  • Self-motivated; comfortable working independently and can manage time effectively.
  • Interest in music, community wellness, or the arts.
