THE TUTORING CENTER in Allen, TX is seeking an Instructor/Tutor to work with students in math, reading, and writing. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and willingness to learn and uphold high quality of our system are required. Applicant must enjoy tutoring and working with children aged 5-17 from kindergarten to high school. Great part-time afternoon hours in a fun, caring, and rewarding environment. Responsibilities
- Tutor school-aged students in math, reading, and writing
- Maintain attendance record and document student progress
- Build rapport with students and encourage them to do their best
- Follow our proprietary system of the Rotational Approach to Learning
- Adhere to the 5 Principles: Integrity, Quality, Enthusiasm, Service, and Teamwork
Requirements:
- Passion and enthusiasm about working with school-age children
- Attending an undergraduate or graduate program or already graduated
- Advanced knowledge in Reading, Math (up through Algebra 2), and writing
- Commitment to integrity, quality, enthusiasm, service, and teamwork
- High energy, great attitude, reliable, and dependable
- Good math grade and being able to work with high school math students a plus
- available from 3:30-7:30 PM Monday - Thursday (flexible)
