Internship Opportunity:
2026 Assistant to the Grants Manager (Temporary, Part-Time)
The Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Foundation, Inc. has been established according to
the provisions in the will of Adolph Gottlieb to award financial aid to mature, creative
painters, sculptors, and printmakers. The Foundation offers two grant programs: the
Gottlieb Foundation Individual Support Grant and the Adolph and Esther Gottlieb
Emergency Grant.
We are seeking a candidate for the temporary, part-time position of Assistant to the Grants Manager. A background in studio art, art history, or arts administration is preferred. Database, videoconferencing, strong computer, and excellent communication skills are required. The job commences January 6 and ends April 24, 2026. Any interested candidate must be fully available during this time frame, with a commitment of 18 hours a week and the possibility of some remote work. The salary is $24/hour.
Job Responsibilities:
The candidate will assist the Grants Manager in the operation of the two grant programs,
primarily the annual Gottlieb Foundation Individual Support Grant, which has a
January 15, 2026 deadline. After the review process, 20 grants of $25,000 will be awarded in early May 2026. The Assistant will respond to application requests and queries for both grant programs and assist in the processing of submitted applications. Other tasks include data entry, screening application materials for eligibility, preparing grant materials for review, participating in the implementation of review panels, and other administrative duties.
