About the Position
We’re seeking a Guitar Teacher who is passionate about sharing the joy of music with middle school students. This role focuses on creating an engaging, supportive space where students can learn guitar fundamentals, build confidence, and express themselves creatively through music.
You’ll guide students through hands-on lessons that combine technique, rhythm, and collaboration — making music both fun and accessible for beginners.
Responsibilities
- Teach group guitar lessons that introduce basic chords, strumming, rhythm, and simple songs.
- Incorporate music theory and listening exercises in an age-appropriate, interactive way.
- Encourage creativity and teamwork through group activities and small performances.
- Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Handle basic care and organization of instruments and class materials.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in guitar playing and a solid understanding of basic music theory.
- Experience teaching or mentoring youth is preferred.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Dependable, enthusiastic, and patient teaching style.
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: Based on experience
