Position Title: Camp Musician
 Location: 4651 Co Rd ZZ, Dodgeville, WI
 Employment Type: Seasonal / Full-Time (June 1-August 14)
Overview
The Camp Musician brings energy, warmth, and rhythm to the camp community through music. This role leads songs at campfires, meals, devotions, and special events while also collaborating with staff to incorporate music into daily camp life. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, engaging, and comfortable performing for and leading large groups of children.
Key Responsibilities
- 
Music Leadership & Performance- Lead group singing at campfires, devotions, mealtimes, and special events.
- Provide live music for programs, skits, reflections, or theme days.
 
 
- 
Activity Facilitation- Teach basic music sessions or lead jam circles for interested campers.
- Encourage camper participation through interactive rhythm games, singalongs, or songwriting activities.
 
 
- 
Support for Camp Programs & Traditions- Collaborate with counselors and program staff to enhance events with music.
- Assist with sound equipment, songbooks, and instrument care as needed.
 
 
- 
Team Collaboration & Flexibility- Assist with general camp responsibilities when not performing, such as setup, cleanup, counseling, or camper support.
- Step into camp-wide activities and help maintain a fun, positive atmosphere.
 
 
Qualifications
- 18+ years of age
- Ability to play guitar chords confidently in group settings.
- Comfortable leading songs and engaging large groups of children and teens.
- Prior experience performing or leading music in camps, churches, or schools preferred.
- Creative, outgoing, and adaptable to spontaneous musical needs.
- Willingness to pitch in wherever needed - whether that means helping in the kitchen, cleaning facilities, or solving unexpected challenges to keep camp running smoothly.
- Respect for diverse perspectives on faith, identity, relationships, and the natural world
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
