Long Term Substitute French Teacher - Part Time

The Mt. Lebanon School District is seeking applicants for a 40% Permanent Substitute French Teacher position at one of its middle schools for the Second Semester of the 2025-2026 School Year.

This is a part-time (afternoon), on-site, temporary, single semester vacancy, from January 16, 2026, through the end of the school year, currently scheduled for June 8, 2026, for a 95 day assignment.

Permanent Substitute assignments are a full semester in length, and are eligible for a salary based on the degree level daily rate at Step 1 of the teacher salary schedule prorated at 40% (rates starting at $115.90 per 40% work day).

This assignment is eligible for paid time off in the form of sick and personal days. It is not eligible for insurance benefits.

In order to be eligible to apply, the candidate must hold active Instructional Certificate from the Pennsylvania Department of Education in French PK-12.

OR equivalent authorization in the form of a college/university placeholder letter stating completion of a PDE approved teacher preparation program and evidence of passing scores on the appropriate certification examinations, while certification is pending through PDE.
