Worship Leader

TITLE: Worship Leader

We are hiring someone to help our congregation worship God at our church services through musical praise--singing both hymns and modern worship songs.  Our position is between 5-9 hour per week, paying $20 / hour (details available upon interviewing).

Pole Line Baptist Church lies in the heart of Davis, CA, a university town with over 30,000 students and 40,000 other residents. We are vibrant and growing multicultural, multigenerational church with new leadership within the last year and a half. GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

We are looking for someone who has a growing and vibrant relationship with Christ, who has been an active member of a church or parachurch ministry and who desires to become an active member of our church upon hiring.

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS

We need someone who has had experience in music ministry, who has adequate skills in playing either guitar or piano while singing, and the organizational and leadership skills necessary for both leading a worship team and administering a music ministry.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Our worship leader is responsible to lead worship on Sunday mornings, lead rehearsals to prepare for Sundays, and if available, lead other special worship sessions.

Our leader is also responsible to choose music, and either communicate with an A/V volunteer or coordinate the A/V needs for our church. This includes knowing/learning our sound system as well as coordinating making slides for the lyrics each week.
