2026-27 Faculty Fellow at Franklin Road Academy in Nashville, Tennessee
About the Faculty Fellows Program
The Faculty Fellows Program at FRA is a one-year fellowship designed for dynamic, early-career educators typically one to two years removed from their undergraduate work. This program provides fellows with the opportunity to gain practical teaching experience, engage in meaningful co-curricular activities, and participate in professional development under the guidance of a mentor teacher. Housing is provided for faculty fellows.
We hire fellows for all divisions (lower, middle, and upper school) and all disciplines, providing diverse opportunities to match your academic background and interests. It is not required that candidates have studied education—we welcome applicants from diverse academic fields who are excited to bring their unique perspectives to the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Classroom Teaching: Assume graduated teaching responsibilities in collaboration with a mentor teacher. Fellows will actively participate in lesson planning, instruction, and classroom management.
- Co-Curricular Engagement: Work with FRA’s co-curricular programs in athletics, arts, or service life based on personal skillsets and interests.
- Professional Development: Attend regular seminars and workshops led by local university professors, building a professional portfolio throughout the fellowship.
- School Involvement: Contribute to FRA’s vibrant community by supporting students both academically and personally.
