Medical Assistant

Hello, pre-health students!

I would like to present you with our well-established job opportunity at Ringpfeil Advanced Dermatology. I think you may find it interesting and view it as a way to work hands-on with patients and providers while enhancing your academic school application and CV/resume.

We are hiring non-conventional medical assistants to work alongside industry leaders who continue to make advancements in the field of dermatology. Based on your proven dedication to doing well in your rigorous science courses, we feel you would make a great addition to our team.

As a medical assistant, you gain exposure and serve as First Assist in procedures such as Mohs surgery, hair transplants, excisions, biopsies, neuromodulator and dermal filler injections, and laser surgery. Additionally, you will gain hands-on patient care hours while becoming well-versed in writing concise and effective patient chart notes, sending prescriptions, working with an EMR system, interacting with pharmacies and insurance companies, and building confidence interacting and conversing with patients. You will also learn to perform post-op procedures and select energy based device treatments on your own for our patients.

This position is an extraordinary opportunity as you will assume responsibilities and gain clinical experience over those granted in a traditional medical assistant position. Being an MA at Ringpfeil Advanced Dermatology was designed to prepare students for medical school and physician assistant school. You will work with other MAs who are also medical/PA school applicants while you will build rapport, cultivate relationships, and continue building your networking capabilities with both future and current medical providers. You will get out of this opportunity what you put in, so our applicants are typically driven and personable individuals.

This full-time position is offered exclusively to those who wish to pursue further education in medicine and have already obtained their bachelor's degree. We view this position as a “mini-residency” given the responsibilities and tasks you will be performing. While certification is not required, training for a Certified Dermatology Tech (CDT) offered by the Association of Certified Dermatology Techs (ACDT) is extended to all of our MAs. We offer base pay at $17/hour during this training year with a priceless opportunity to gain experience while working. Due to the resources and time we put into this training for our new MAs, we require a minimum of a 1 year commitment..

We have locations in both Haverford and Abington .To learn more about our practice, please visit our website at https://www.ringpfeildermatology.com/. If you are interested in this unique opportunity, please reach out  via email below.

I look forward to meeting our newest team member!
