Elementary Music Teacher

DeRuyter CSD is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Elementary Music Teacher to provide high-quality general music instruction to students in grades PK–5. The successful candidate will foster a positive learning environment, develop engaging lessons aligned with New York State Learning Standards for the Arts, and inspire a lifelong appreciation for music. Responsibilities include teaching general music, preparing students for seasonal performances, collaborating with faculty, and contributing to a vibrant school culture.

Qualifications:

Valid NYS Certification in Music (K–12 or appropriate equivalent)

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Ability to design inclusive, developmentally appropriate music experiences

Commitment to collaboration and professional growth
