Worship Pastor

The Worship Pastor's responsibilities are divided into areas of Worship Planning, Ministry Oversight, and General Pastoral Duties.

Weekly responsibilities include planning and preparing the worship service, which involves selecting songs, coordinating with the preaching pastor, and preparing the order of service and presentation slides. The pastor leads weekly rehearsals for musicians and singers and communicates technical needs to the Sound, Video, and Technical Director teams.


Monthly tasks include contacting musicians to check availability and schedule them, as well as looking ahead at the preaching calendar to prepare fitting music. Seasonal planning involves reviewing and purchasing new music that is biblically and theologically sound for various events, including Christmas and Easter services.

Throughout the Year, the pastor oversees and supports the Berean Tech Ministry Team, manages the worship budget, and maintains required licenses. The role also involves cultivating new musicians, including future Worship Leaders.


General Pastoral duties include supporting the lead pastor and staff, attending various staff and deacon meetings, and occasionally preaching. The pastor is also involved in shepherding the congregation through activities such as premarital counseling, funerals, baptisms, hospital visits, and discipleship. The pastor teaches classes like the Discover Berean Class and the Men's Leadership Class
