Fuel Cell Component Remanufacturing Processing Intern

Status: Non-Exempt (hourly)

Term: May 18, 2026- August 7, 2026

 

Position Summary

Analyze returned parts and components from fuel cell systems.   Analyze the re-manufacturability of components, perform cost benefit analysis and develop processes to reclaim critical components to save money across the fuel cell business and help Plug Power Inc. reach its financial goals.

 

 

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Analyze field returned components

Remanufacturing cost benefit analysis

Develop processes and standard operating procedures for the reclamation of fuel cell system components.

Gain a foundational understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in manufacturing and technology.

Communication and Collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Develop effective communication skills by collaborating with team members and presenting findings to different stakeholders.

 

Education and Qualification

Pursuing a Bachelor of Science, Master's or PhD degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering or a related program

Must have reliable transportation to the office in Slingerlands, New York and or Latham, New York.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Possess solid hands-on approach to problem-solving

Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail

Excellent follow-through 

Must be driven and self-motivated
