Young Women's Leadership Challenge (YWLC) Intern
The Young Women’s Leadership Challenge (YWLC) is seeking passionate, driven interns from all academic backgrounds to join our team. This hands-on internship offers a unique opportunity to facilitate our holistic leadership curriculum, mentor high school students, and contribute to every aspect of program management, all while building connections with peers and professionals from diverse fields.
No matter your major or career path, the skills you develop through YWLC will set you apart. Our curriculum fosters leadership, assertiveness, financial literacy, public speaking, global citizenship, and social entrepreneurship, critical competencies for success in any field.
What You’ll Do:
- Facilitate interactive workshops that challenge and inspire young women
- Mentor high school students, creating a space for meaningful conversations and personal growth
- Assist with program logistics, including planning, outreach, and event coordination
- Collaborate with a cohesive team committed to serving young women from all backgrounds in the Houston/Austin area
- Gain hands-on experience in education, nonprofit management, and leadership development

YWLC interns will be supervised by experienced Pangea Network staff members who will provide ongoing mentorship and professional guidance. Interns will receive regular check-ins and participate in structured feedback sessions focused on engagement, community building, small group leadership, and our curriculum effectiveness. Through observation, coaching, and group/individual reflection, interns will gain practical insight and support to grow as emerging leaders.
