Certified Lifeguard/Swim Instructor

Candidates must have (or obtain by June 10) an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification to be considered.

We are seeking friendly, energetic Swim Instructors to join our team at either our pools or lakefront. Staff will teach swimming skills and water safety while creating a fun, safe environment for campers of all ages.

This is a full-time, seasonal position from Monday, June 15 through Friday, August 14.

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons and water safety skills
• Supervise swimmers and enforce safety rules
• Assess progress and adapt instruction as needed
• For lakefront staff: teach safe use of canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, slides, inflatables, and properly fit life jackets
• Provide first aid/CPR when needed and document incidents

Requirements

• Lifeguard Certification (American Red Cross) required
• CPR/First Aid certification required
• Experience working with children preferred
• Strong swimming and water safety knowledge
• Ability to lift and assist with equipment as needed
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills
