After School Art Instructor

Unicoi Art Studio is seeking a part-time teacher fro after school classes rolling into a summer camp instructor for the 2026 Summer Camp season. 

Unicoi is a local Chicago art studio started in 1998 with its foundation in after school classes.  The company is based out of Roscoe Village but teaches after school classes at schools all over the northern Chicago neighborhoods. 

Unicoi bases it teaching in allowing kids to explore their own creativity through open ended projects utilizing high quality art materials so each artist is able to reach their full capabilities. 

Unicoi is currently seeking an instructor that will be available on Thursday afternoons from 3:30-5:15pm for one class in particular but with additional co-teaching opportunities (based on new instructor availability) to help the new instructor grow and become comfortable. 

Starting in June this position will transfer into a more traditional part time position as a summer camp counselor. 

Initial classes will be taught off sight and instructors will need to pick-up their supplies at the studio before transporting it to their class.  this is made easier with a car but can be done on public transportation if applicant is capable of navigating. 

Starting pay begins between $17-$20 depending on previous teaching experience with class rate pay scale available as well.
