We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleanings, assessments, and preventive treatments.
Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health and ensure a positive experience for every patient. You will collaborate closely with our team members to uphold the highest standards of infection control, documentation, and patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
- Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to proper aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including documentation review, medical coding, and treatment notes in Dentrix
- Follow infection control protocols diligently to ensure a sterile environment, including sterilization of instruments and proper disposal of biohazard materials.
Skills
- Proficiency with dental software Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control procedures.
- Ability to accurately measure vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse as part of comprehensive patient assessment.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques used in dentistry for diagnostic purposes.
