About Pangoo:
Pangoo is an outdoor apparel startup dedicated to designing technical clothing and gear for bodies with curves and centering underrepresented stories in the outdoors. As we prepare for our upcoming trade show season and second Kickstarter launch, we’re looking for a highly organized, creative Event Planning & Coordination Intern to help us level up how we show up in person and online.
What You’ll Do:
This role combines event planning, set design, and community outreach. You’ll help us upgrade our trade show presence, plan a Kickstarter pre-launch tour to climbing gyms and retailers, and design both in-person and online community activations.
This is an ideal role for someone who is a self-starter, loves brainstorming experiences, enjoys visual research and mood-boarding, and is excited about building community in the outdoor/climbing space. A good eye for design is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Trade Show & Activation Planning
- Research relevant outdoor, apparel, and gear industry events
- Develop inspiration decks for Pangoo’s trade show booth concepts with mockups, layout options, and detailed materials lists

- Research climbing gyms and small retailers aligned with our audience
- Build an outreach master list with contacts, notes, and priority rankings
- Draft outreach messaging and pitch templates
- Support outreach and follow-ups (email + phone)
- Help shape the tour plan (5–10 stops): logistics, activation setup, KPIs
- Create a tour calendar and documentation for the team
3. Community Events
In-Person
- Brainstorm ideas for our community meetups
- Outline logistics, budget, timeline, and goals
- Source locations, partners, and potential collaborators
Online
- Build concepts for 2 online community events (giveaways, workshops, influencer collabs, content challenges, etc.)
- Build outreach lists for relevant online communities, influencers, brands, or speakers
- Draft execution-ready event plans
4. Documentation
- Organize all research, lists, templates, and event plans
- Provide reflections on what worked well and areas for improvement
- Package all creative assets and plans in an organized, easy-to-navigate format
