Educational Content Creator

Studywave is hiring Educational Content Creators to record tutorials of core subjects and sample problems from the SAT, ACT, and AP courses, which are uploaded to the Studywave app for use in both structured and unstructured study programs. Creators must be able to produce high quality video and audio recordings to be sent to our editing team in a timely manner with minimal assistance after onboarding — we handle all post-production so creators can focus purely on the teaching. Content Creators also have the option to become tutors and work to provide individual feedback and goals to students through the app. We are currently hiring in the following subjects: SAT Math, SAT Reading & Writing, AP Biology, AP US History, and AP World History.

We are looking for candidates who are knowledgeable in their given subject, charismatic, and able to clearly communicate concepts efficiently while paying exceptionally close attention to the technical details of their work. Familiarity with digital annotation tools such as GoodNotes is important, as most videos involve screen recording on a tablet with live annotations and step by step problem walkthroughs. The ideal candidate has — but is not required to have — experience in film, TV, or video production, music or podcast recording, tutoring or education, and/or public speaking. After submitting an application through Handshake, candidates will be sent a Google Form to submit a short sample video prior to interviews — full instructions will be provided at that stage.
