STEM Instructor - Riverview, FL


Are you a college student looking to turn what you’re learning in class into real-world experience? iCode is seeking motivated students majoring in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related fields who want hands-on, resume-building experience while still in school. This role is ideal for students who want more than a traditional internship and are eager to apply their technical knowledge in a practical, people-focused environment.

As an iCode instructor, you’ll gain valuable experience teaching and mentoring students while strengthening your own understanding of core technology concepts. You’ll work with coding, robotics, game development, and problem-solving skills—translating classroom theory into engaging, real-world instruction. Key Responsibilities

• Teach and educate students according to guidelines provided by iCode.

• Manage an orderly classroom at all times.

• Provide meaningful feedback about class material and student dynamics in the classroom in weekly status reports.

• Assess, record and report on the development, progress, attainment and behavior of students.

• Provide weekly communication and updates to parents on a weekly basis.

• Treats students equally and fairly.

• Present a professional manner at all times.
 

Qualifications

Candidates should be familiar with at least one of the following:

• HTML, JavaScript, Alice and Python.

• Experience using GameMaker and Unity is desirable.

• Strong knowledge of computers, devices and operating systems.

• General knowledge of Agile methodologies.
 

Candidates must have a positive attitude. Be dependable and have flexibility to work evening and/or weekend hours. Have reliable transportation. Have the ability to work independently as well as being part of a high functioning team. 

 

Candidates must have good written and verbal communication skills. Be able to work with K-12 students. 
 

Expectations

All successful candidates MUST be able to pass a background check and drug screening. No exceptions!

Exceeding customer expectations is a key responsibility for all iCode team members. 
 

Rate of Pay

Job Type: Part-time 

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
