Product Development Engineer (Polymers)

From Lab to Line: Product Development Engineer (Recent Grad / Entry-Level) Opportunity at a leading Global Manufacturer.
 

Are you a recent graduate looking to transition from the lab to the production floor? Our client is seeking a hands-on engineer to bridge the gap between R&D and commercial reality. This is the perfect launchpad for an engineer who wants to see their ideas manufactured into real-world products.

 

  • R&D Strategy & Experimentation: Lead the design and execution of structured lab experiments aligned with business goals, interpreting data to reach technical conclusions and identify future research opportunities.
     
  • Commercial & Customer Support: Partner with commercial teams to drive customer development through technical presentations, product recommendations, and hands-on troubleshooting.
     
  • Scale-Up & Production Integration: Drive the transition of new formulations from the lab to full-scale commercial production, collaborating cross-functionally with operations and quality teams.
     
  • Trials & Application Development: Manage and support customer and plant trials to ensure successful product adoption and long-term performance in the field.
     
  • Continuous Innovation: Proactively identify opportunities for product innovation, cost optimization, and performance improvements across all existing product lines.
     
  • Knowledge Management & Compliance: Maintain high standards for data-driven reporting and internal knowledge transfer while ensuring all development work meets safety, regulatory, and quality protocols.

 

What We Are Looking For

  • Education: BS degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: Recent college graduates with Product Development and/or Plant Floor internship.
  • Skills/Exposure: Familiarity with polymer compounding or masterbatch development is highly preferred.
  • Mindset: A hands-on learner who thrives in both a R&D environment and a busy manufacturing plant.
