Director of Production & Costume Seamstress
The Broward Center for the Performing Arts in partnership with the The Performance Project School of the Arts, Summer Theater Camp is seeking immediate employment for:
Director of Production and Administration
- From June 15 (or earlier) to August 12
- Will oversee ASM, costume assistants, prop master and intern crew.
- Must have at least 2 years’ experience in technical theater/stage management
- Must have administrative and computer skills.
- Can write light cues and mic tracking.
- Can call a show.
- Can work in a fast-paced environment.
- Can be a creative and problem-solving team player.
- Can work well and have patience with children ages 7 to 18.
- Knowledge of union crew rules is helpful but not required.
- Salary: Approximately $9,000 for the summer.
Costume Seamstress
- From June 22 to August 7
- Must know how to use a sewing machine proficiently.
- Will help with fittings.
- Will sometimes work independently.
- Must have reliable car to conduct fittings in 3 different locations.
- Be available for some evening shows for quick repairs
- Will oversee 2 assistants.
- Willing to teach a few sewing machine skills to the assistants.
- Salary: Approximately $5,500 for the summer.
