USC Comic+Care Student Worker

Job description

Work-Study position:

USC Comic+Care is looking for a highly motivated, organized, and reliable student to join our team to assist with research, grant writing, coordinating monthly meetings and scheduling. USC Comic+Care is a program within the School of Dramatic Arts that utilizes the skills and expertise of SDA comedy faculty and students to strengthen collaboration, connection, and healing in collaboration with a variety of community partners. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in this groundbreaking arts and healing program, making a positive impact in our world, while balancing your academic responsibilities. USC Comic+Care works out of the Dick Wolf Drama Center on the UPC Campus.

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

  • A currently enrolled student preferably with confirmed Federal Work-Study (FWS) eligibility for the current academic year.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Punctual, dependable, and eager to learn new skills
  • Approximately 20 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

  • Seeking out partnerships and opportunities for USC Comic+Care
  • Coordinating and scheduling monthly meetings with committee members
  • Creating agendas for committee meetings
  • Keeping up communications with on campus organizations such as ITSC, Arts + Health, Arts in Action, etc.
