NGS (DNA Sequencing) Intern (Campus Representative for Angstrom Innovation)
Location: Your university campus (Remote/Flexible)
Time Commitment: ~10 hours/week
Help bring cutting-edge DNA sequencing services to research labs at your university, including whole plasmid sequencing, linear amplicon sequencing, and whole genome sequencing for microbes. As an Angstrom Innovation Intern, you'll build relationships with faculty, graduate students, and lab staff while generating customer orders and earning commission on sales.
Responsibilities
- Visit research labs on campus and present Angstrom's sequencing services.
- Build relationships with faculty, graduate students, and lab staff while answering questions about Angstrom's services.
- Help customers submit and ship sequencing samples.
- Coordinate daily UPS sample drop-offs as needed.
- Represent Angstrom at your university events.
Compensation
- $30/hour up to a cap of 10 hours/week for for UPS courier work on days when sample pickup and delivery are required.
- $300 one-time bonus after generating your first $300 in sales.
- 5% commission on all customer orders you generate, including recurring revenue from those customers, through December 31, 2026, with the opportunity to extend commission eligibility into 2027.
- Bonuses for on-time sample pickups and drop-offs.
Ideal Candidate
- Undergraduate, graduate student, or postdoc at a research university.
- Strong communication and networking skills.

- Self-motivated and comfortable talking with researchers.
- Learn directly from experts in next-generation sequencing (NGS) and genomics.
