Do you love the German language and enjoy sharing it with others?

We're looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Part-Time German Instructor to lead interactive after-school enrichment classes that introduce students to the fundamentals of German in a fun, supportive, and immersive environment.

This program is about much more than vocabulary and grammar. You'll help students build confidence as they communicate in a new language, explore German-speaking cultures, and develop curiosity about the world around them.

Through games, conversations, storytelling, music, hands-on activities, and collaborative learning, students will gain practical language skills while strengthening communication, critical thinking, cultural awareness, and self-confidence.

Whether you're a native speaker, heritage speaker, fluent German speaker, educator, university student, translator, or simply passionate about language and culture, we'd love to hear from you.

We provide curriculum guidance, lesson plans, and instructional resources so you can focus on creating engaging, memorable, and inclusive learning experiences.

  • Introduce students to German culture, traditions, holidays, food, music, geography, and everyday life
  • Use games, storytelling, songs, role-playing, and collaborative activities to make learning enjoyable and memorable
  • Encourage confidence, participation, curiosity, and a growth mindset as students practice a new language
  • Adapt lessons to accommodate different learning styles, abilities, and experience levels
  • Create an inclusive classroom where every student feels respected, encouraged, and excited to participate
  • Provide positive feedback that supports student growth and confidence
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment
  • Communicate professionally with school staff and program coordinators
  • Arrive prepared and excited to deliver an exceptional learning experience

  • Have a patient, encouraging, dependable, and enthusiastic teaching style
  • Enjoy creating interactive and student-centered learning experiences
  • Are comfortable leading small groups and fostering participation

Previous teaching experience is not required.

Experience in tutoring, mentoring, coaching, camps, youth programs, community organizations, or language instruction is a plus, but we also welcome candidates who are excited to teach for the first time.
