About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to join a large manufacturing company in Ypsilanti, MI. In this role, you will perform quality and security testing on finished products and customer samples to ensure compliance with company and customer specifications. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with 0–3 years of experience who are looking to build a career in a stable, safety-focused environment.

Shift Options Available

Top of the Week Shifts:

Sunday–Tuesday, Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) and every other Saturday

Sunday–Tuesday, Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and every other Saturday

End of the Week Shifts:

Wednesday–Friday, Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) and every other Saturday

Wednesday–Friday, Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and every other Saturday

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing on finished products, customer samples, and R&D materials
• Collect, label, and track all controlled security-sensitive materials
• Record test results, complete inspection reports, and distribute to internal teams and customers
• Maintain accurate records, files, and laboratory supplies
• Follow all Health & Safety, Quality, and Security procedures

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 0–3 years of laboratory testing experience preferred
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow written specifications and procedures
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong attention to detail with accurate data recording
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform standing, walking, and repetitive tasks
• Stable work history with no more than three jobs in the last 10 years

Work Environment

• 100% onsite in Ypsilanti, MI
• Fast-paced, safety- and security-sensitive laboratory environment
