Great Opportunity! Are you a warm, organized person who loves helping others? Child Care Resources of Monmouth County is seeking a motivated Front Desk Receptionist to join our professional staff. We are an agile, innovative nonprofit agency committed to supporting Monmouth County’s children, families, and the child care workforce. In this full-time role, you will greet visitors, answer and direct calls, handle basic office/clerical tasks, and be the agency’s bright first point of contact with our community. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Social Science, Early Education, or related field is preferred. Applicant must have strong communication skills, both on the phone and in person. Candidates must also be able to work with interruptions and prioritize numerous and varied requests, while maintaining a pleasant disposition. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are preferred. Objectives: Provide strong customer service by directing agency visitors and professionally administering incoming calls.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strong customer service: answer inquiries and direct callers to appropriate agency staff; greet guests in a professional positive and informative manner.
- Help to fulfill the agency’s obligations under contracts such as with the New Jersey Division of Family Development (DFD)
- Respond to telephone inquiries in a timely manner
- Appropriately forward and /or respond to emails received through the website.
- Communicate pertinent information to appropriate departments and staff members in a timely manner.
- Represent CCR in a positive manner by being responsive, informative, and courteous to our CCR families, child care providers, and our community.
- Communicate effectively, and work well with coworkers and management clients and child care providers.
- Maintain records, in all agency systems and databases according to agency guidelines to ensure accurate reporting
- Diaper Bank Responsibilities - Provide diaper bank assistance such as – inventory counts, filling referrals, contact community partners for large diaper referral pick ups and deliveries.
- Provide efficient administrative support for all agency programs
- Keep the reception/lobby area neat, clean and organized
- Receive deliveries and inform the proper staff member when deliveries arrive
- Support data collection efforts and maintain accurate and timely documentation of activities
- Participate in at least one agency and one community event
- Community Outreach- raise awareness about child care issues, promote agency’s services and on-line presence
- Cover a minimum of one workshop or community event a month, along with late-night coverage on Wednesday evenings.

Qualifications/Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Social Sciences, Early Education or related field preferred
- Relevant work experience may substitute for college education at a rate of two years experience for one year of education
- Strong customer service orientation
- Exceptional professional communication skills, especially strong telephone communication
- Pleasant disposition and able to get along with a diverse culture
- Ability to work with interruptions and prioritize numerous and varied requests
- Record keeping experience, computer and document based preferred
- Ability to perform tasks independently
- Accurate with details, even when under time pressure
- Computer literate [Microsoft Office suite]; including use of on-line information exchange networks (“Internet”), database experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
