Graduate Research Assistant-BAMs Lab

The Graduate Research Assistant (RA) will play a vital role in supporting research within the Mechanical & Aerospace Dept. at the University of Dayton. This position offers valuable research experience, enhances research skills, and contributes to the advancement of knowledge in the field. This position will work closely with Dr. Robert Lowe and can be reassigned depending on departmental needs. This position will assist in the various stages of research projects, which can range from data collection, analysis and presentation. Additional responsibilities may be assigned accordingly and are not limited to:
 

Research Activities:

Conduct literature reviews and gather data or information.
Assist in the design and implementation of research experiments.
Collect, analyze, and interpret research data.
Prepare research reports, presentations, and publications.
Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and research manuscripts.
Present research findings within the university, at conferences, and seminars.
Laboratory/Fieldwork:

Maintain and operate laboratory equipment.
Conduct fieldwork or laboratory work as necessary (e.g., data collection, sample collection). Ensure the safety and proper maintenance of the research environment.
Following laboratory and university procedures.
 
Other Duties:

Assist in the supervision and work with undergraduate research assistants.
Participate in departmental seminars and research meetings.
Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Due to the nature of this role, additional responsibilities could be assigned.
