Safety Representative

ABOUT THE ROLE
ASC Process Systems is looking for a hands-on Safety Representative who enjoys being out on the floor, working with people, and making a real impact. In this role, you’ll help keep our manufacturing teams safe by walking our facilities, identifying hazards, supporting safety training, investigating incidents, and helping improve safety processes across ASC.

This is a great opportunity to grow within a large manufacturing environment, gain exposure to real day-to-day operations, and be part of a company that is expanding. You’ll play an important role in building a proactive safety culture while supporting employees across multiple facilities in Valencia, CA.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily safety walks throughout all facilities.
  • Conduct monthly safety performance audits and inspections.
  • Develop, document, and track corrective action items from audit findings.
  • Maintain and update safety policies to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Conduct new hire safety orientation.
  • Deliver specialized departmental safety training and monthly management training.
  • Train and certify employees in vehicle operation, equipment safety, and related programs.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents; prepare and review reports, ensuring timely corrective actions.
  • Coordinate emergency management programs and drills.
  • Assist in developing Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and identifying workplace hazards.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Willing to train the right candidate.
  • 6 months to 1+ years of health and safety experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of applicable health and safety regulations (CA Title 8, 29 CFR).
  • Must type 25-35 wpm.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, a plus.
  • Working hours: Monday - Thursday 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and Friday 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent walking, (approx. 5-7 miles daily), standing, bending, squatting, climbing, and kneeling.
  • Operation of vehicles, forklifts, and other equipment.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and welding environments.
  • Work at heights and on uneven surfaces.
  • Regular use of required PPE (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe shoes, hard hat, hearing protection).
