Organic Chemistry Research Experience
Position: Organic Chemistry Research Experience
Organic Synthesis Research Opportunity - The project involves developing organic synthesis methodologies and synthesizing various organic compounds, some of them with potential pharmaceutical applications. Student interns/researchers will learn to use various instruments and methodologies including Nuclear magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (NMR), Ultra-Violet Visible Spectroscopy (UV-VIS), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS), Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC). In addition, the intern will also learn how to set-up organic reactions, purify them, and also handle air-sensitive and moisture-sensitive materials.
