WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

As a Social Science Research Analyst, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by:

• Developing and conducting studies, evaluations, and analyses of the organization's programs to ensure that quantitative and qualitative data are effectively gathered, analyzed, and used to understand program outputs, outcomes, and overall efficiency.
• Implementing, examining, and collecting monitoring data across the organizational programs and the production of an annual monitoring analysis report, highlighting key findings and the impact of grantee services on client outcomes.
• Preparing briefings, presenting research, analysis and evaluation findings to the program staff, leadership and stakeholders.
• Reviewing program documentation, incident reports, monitoring data, and other source materials to identify trends, evaluate program performance, and support corrective actions.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Basic Qualifications: You must meet one of the items below:

Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.

OR

Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

OR

Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

AND

Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year of specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following:

• Collecting, analyzing, and reporting monitoring and program performance data to assess compliance with established policies, procedures, and performance standards in programs serving unaccompanied alien children or child welfare populations.
• Developing and implementing standardized monitoring tools, quality assurance methods, or evaluation instruments to ensure program adherence to federal regulations and organizational policies in programs serving unaccompanied alien children or child welfare populations.
• Preparing written reports and actionable recommendations based on data analysis to inform continuous improvement and decision-making for child welfare or unaccompanied alien children programs.
• Designing or maintaining data tracking systems, dashboards, or reporting tools to monitor key indicators of program compliance and performance in programs serving unaccompanied alien children or child welfare populations.
