E-Commerce Team Lead

Job Overview

The E-Commerce Team Lead is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily e-commerce listing operations while actively contributing to product research, pricing, and online sales. This position directly supervises E-Commerce Listing Specialists, ensures workflow efficiency, and maintains high-quality listings across eBay and local online marketplaces. The Team Lead works closely with the E-Commerce Manager to monitor performance metrics, manage inventory, and keep all e-commerce accounts in good standing.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and support E-Commerce Listing Specialists to ensure productivity, accuracy, and quality standards are met
• Assign daily tasks, monitor workflow, and help prioritize incoming inventory
• Train, coach, and mentor team members on best listing practices, pricing strategies, and platform updates
• Ensure team deadlines are met while maintaining individual listing responsibilities
• Research products, determine competitive pricing, and assist with creating optimized product listings
• Review and approve listings for accuracy, SEO optimization, and buyer appeal
• Maintain and manage e-commerce inventory, digital assets, shipping supplies, and equipment orders
• Track product intake and ensure accurate database management
• Manage and monitor eBay and local marketplace accounts to ensure compliance with platform policies
• Work closely with the E-Commerce Manager to track returns, resolve issues, and maintain seller ratings
• Monitor buyer messages, escalations, and feedback to ensure excellent customer satisfaction
• Coordinate communication between customers and personnel at other company locations
• Utilize AI tools and e-commerce software to improve listing efficiency, pricing accuracy, and workflow
• Identify opportunities to improve sales performance, reduce returns, and streamline processes

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to manage a team while maintaining individual productivity
• Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms, especially eBay
• Experience with consumer electronics, computers, and related technology is required
• Strong technical, internet, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to write compelling, SEO-friendly product descriptions
• Basic math skills and strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Willingness to learn and actively use AI tools to support e-commerce operations
• Dependable, punctual, and deadline-driven

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Proven experience listing and selling products on eBay required
• Prior leadership or team coordination experience strongly preferred

Physical & Other Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and balance throughout the workday
• Must pass a post-offer/pre-employment background check and drug screening
• Must agree to and sign a Non-Disclosure/Confidentiality Agreement
