Laboratory Aide / Dishwasher, Full Time- Deibel Laboratories 
Madison, Wisconsin 103 S. 2nd Street, Madison, WI 53704 
Pay: $18–$20 per hour, depending on experience Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week 
Schedule options: Wednesday - Sunday, 11:00 a.m.- 7:30 p.m.  OR Friday - Tuesday, 7:00 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. 
Both schedules include weekends. Occasional overtime may be required based on workflow and operational needs. The hiring team will confirm the schedule associated with the opening during the interview.

Help support food safety through hands-on laboratory work. Deibel Laboratories is seeking a dependable Laboratory Aide to help keep our Madison food testing laboratory clean, organized, and supplied. This role supports the daily work that makes accurate testing possible.

What you’ll do Depending on your assigned area and completed training, responsibilities may include: 
• Wash, organize, and replenish laboratory glassware, utensils, and supplies. 
• Clean and maintain designated laboratory work areas. 
• Assist with media preparation and other routine support tasks. 
• Operate and clean assigned equipment after completing required training, including autoclaves used to sterilize laboratory equipment and materials. 
• Follow procedures for handling and disposing of laboratory materials. 
• Complete required records accurately and report concerns promptly. 
• Follow laboratory safety practices and use required personal protective equipment. 
• Maintain sterilization records and help stock supplies. 
• Follow written procedures and safety requirements. 
• Work independently and alongside the laboratory team.

What we’re looking for:
• High school diploma or equivalent. 
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. 
• Dependable attendance and availability for the assigned schedule. 
• Mechanical aptitude and/or construction experience. 
• Clear communication and willingness to learn. 
Experience in dishwashing, sanitation, restaurants, bakeries, manufacturing, or equipment maintenance is helpful. Laboratory-specific training is provided.

Understand the work environment:
This is an active position involving standing, walking, and working around heat, humidity, laboratory odors, and sterilization equipment. Duties include pushing, pulling, and maneuvering loaded carts or containers weighing up to 250 pounds.
