Part-Time Showroom & E-Commerce Assistant

Location: Charleston, SC | Hours: 12–36 hours per week | Position: Part-Time

Ibu Movement is a Charleston-based global fashion and lifestyle marketplace working with women artisans around the world. Ibu collaborates with over 100 women’s artisan groups in 40 countries, providing access to international markets and living wages while helping preserve traditional craft and artistry.

Position Overview

Ibu Movement is looking for a Holiday Showroom & E-Commerce Assistant to support our Charleston showroom and online business during the busy holiday season.

Responsibilities

Showroom & Customer Experience

  • Welcome and assist showroom customers, including with product selection, sizing, styling, and questions.
  • Support showroom appointments and walk-in customers.
  • Process in-store sales, returns, and exchanges.
  • Learn about Ibu’s products, artisans, and the stories behind the pieces.

E-Commerce & Fulfillment

  • Fulfill online orders through Shopify.
  • Pack orders and prepare them for shipment.
  • Process online returns and exchanges.

Holiday Events

  • Assist with holiday trunk shows, pop-ups, and special events.
  • Help with event setup, merchandising, sales, and customer service.

Qualifications

  • Previous retail, customer service, showroom, or e-commerce experience preferred.
  • Friendly and comfortable working with customers.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Reliable and able to work independently.
  • Comfortable learning and using Shopify.
  • Interest in fashion, design, textiles, and craftsmanship is a plus.

Schedule: This is a flexible part-time position with increased hours and support needed throughout the holiday season, particularly in November and December.

12–36 hours per week, with weekends as the primary work schedule. Additional Friday and evening hours may be required during the holiday season for special events and pop-ups.

Compensation

Starting at $15/hour, with potential for a higher rate based on experience and qualifications.
