Who we are
At CDP, we are on a mission to solve our planet’s biggest environmental challenges: climate change, water scarcity and deforestation. We believe you can’t manage what you don’t measure – so we run the world’s largest environmental disclosure system. For the past two decades, our team has worked tirelessly to create a thriving economy that works for people and planet in the long term – we accomplish this by engaging the global actors who wield the greatest influence in driving environmental change: companies, cities, governments, and the capital markets.

CDP’s cascading global impact is powered by our tight-knit team of smart, savvy, curious and committed individuals, who share a common passion for creating a sustainable future. It is our people who make our work possible. And we provide our people with a working environment that empowers each individual to reach their full potential: one that is committed to equity; one that provides equal access for growth and development; and one that supports each individual throughout the full employee life cycle.

CDP's Disclosure Content Team is looking for a Technical Manager to drive understanding and ultimately reporting on critical frameworks and mandatory disclosure standards globally. In this new role, the Manager will work on the development of a questionnaire, reporting guidance, scoring methodologies and related technical materials, and support the wider Disclosure Content Team to ensure that outputs are delivered accurately and efficiently into CDP's online disclosure platform.

This team is part of the wider Environmental Impact Department responsible for evolving CDP's thought leadership and development of the CDP disclosure framework.

Who you are

  • Possess knowledge of the global policy context for corporate environmental disclosure (e.g., ESRS, ISSB, SEC, TCFD, TNFD).
  • Ability to manage projects or operational processes.
  • A high level of motivation, confident and collaborative working style, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse global teams.

Your day-to-day
  • Development of new CDP questionnaire content, reporting guidance, and scoring methodology content to time, requirements, and budget. This includes:
  • Leading the development and implementation of the cross-organization process for identification, mapping, alignment and establishing best practice from environmental disclosure standards, frameworks, and taxonomies.
  • Prioritizing data points/metrics from relevant sustainability standards/frameworks and translating into developments for the evolution of CDP's corporate questionnaires and reporting guidance.
  • Leading engagement both internally and externally with key stakeholders. Building and maintaining technical external relationships (with advisory panels etc.) and representing CDP externally as an expert on standards and frameworks.
  • Ensuring that supporting guidance materials are created to an exceptional standard efficiently and effectively, including the oversight of junior team members and supporting the tasks related to climate, forests, water security and nature/biodiversity.
  • Providing subject matter expertise and analytical support across CDP's broader activities related to questionnaire and reporting guidance materials, including but not restricted to:
  • contributing to projects related to the development of new questionnaire content and other CDP outputs (e.g., funded projects, publications, engagement events etc.).
