Stormwater Inspector

Perform stormwater pollution prevention field inspections on construction sites throughout Northern and Central California to ensure water quality in compliance with the Construction Stormwater General Permit (CGP).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs field inspections to identify items that do/don't comply with the Construction General Permit & other Stormwater regulations
  • Generates reports based on field inspections for submission to clients and regulatory authorities
  • Communicates with clients to inform them about regulations and achieve compliance
  • Regular, predictable, onsite attendance. Attend monthly in-office meetings and trainings as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP) or Qualified SWPPP Developer (QSD) Highly Preferred

  • Education: High School Required; College Preferred; Classes or training in areas of sediment and erosion control and/or stormwater pollution prevention (or closely related fields) or relevant college class work in environmental topics highly preferred.
  • Experience: Construction-Related Experience not required but highly preferred. Stormwater Pollution Prevention (SWPPP) Experience Preferred; Experience with sediment control, BMPs, SWPPP design, coordination, and site review/auditing a plus.
  • Computer Skills: Typing, Microsoft Office, File Management, and Gmail Required; Adobe Acrobat, Asana, and Bluebeam a plus.
  • Excellent Communication and Customer Service Skills Required.
  • Extensive walking on construction site (sometimes in inclement weather) Required.
  • Driving long distances to/from/on construction sites (sometimes in inclement weather) Required.
